      INFORMATIONAL   BULLETIN

Over 30  participants worked in a full day of professional development regarding Interest-Based Decision Making today at the district offices.  Rich Nelson and Stan Damas from Stratix facilitiated this training as a continuation of the district's commitment to collaborative bargaining.  School Board Members, Mr. Lannon, Ms. Tillman, Mr. Poulette, new and veteran school principals, teachers and noninstructional support staff learned  practices associated with interest-based decision making.  Activities included learning how to build a shared understanding of issues,  identify shared interests, and identify possible options toward ultimately reaching a decision or solution.  This training is a part of three days of work focused on furthering the district's efforts in our collaborative bargaining initiative.

Members of the Steering Committee will continue to report progress through Informational Bulletins to all employees in the coming school year.
