After months of rebuilding and training our new stewards and leaders, our Union has grown significantly! When Senate Bill 256 in 2023 passed, we had to organize and re-sign every member in our local which covers Palm Beach County,Village of Tequesta and St.Lucie School District. We needed to reach 60% in membership on all three units to  comply with the new law. This was a challenge beyond words, we began by visiting every location and talking to every member and non members about the importance of saving our contracts. Our plan to win has yielded some incredible results! We successfully trained over 20 new stewards who are now fully certified and actively helping our members, we have reached every department and listened to our members' most important issues and we started addressing them not only with our county administration but also with our county commissioners! We have met with them in person and will continue to do so as long as it takes until they see that our county workers are the heartbeat of this county, and without YOU the county would stop functioning.  So Join us on Tuesday June 17th and Wednesday June 18th as we VOTE YES to keep our union. ¡Después de meses de reconstrucción y capacitación de nuestros nuevos delegados y líderes, nuestra Unión ha crecido significativamente! Cuando el Proyecto de Ley del Senado 256 en 2023 fue aprobado, tuvimos que organizar y volver a firmar a cada miembro en nuestra localidad, que cubre el condado de Palm Beach, el pueblo de Tequesta y el distrito escolar de St. Lucie. Necesitábamos alcanzar un 60% de membresía en las tres unidades para cumplir con la nueva ley. ¡Esto fue un desafío más allá de las palabras! Comenzamos visitando cada ubicación y hablando con cada miembro y sobre la importancia de salvar nuestros contratos. ¡Nuestro plan ha dado resultados increíbles! Hemos capacitado con éxito a más de 20 nuevos delegados, quienes ahora están completamente certificados y ayudando activamente a nuestros miembros. Hemos llegado a todos los departamentos, escuchado los problemas más importantes de nuestros miembros y comenzado a abordarlos no solo con nuestra administración del condado, sino también con nuestros comisionados del condado. Nos hemos reunido con ellos en persona y seguiremos haciéndolo hasta que vean que los trabajadores del condado son lo más importante, y sin USTEDES, el condado dejaría de funcionar.
